The MADE11 design event returns with even more dazzling wares

MADE11 is Brighton’s Design and Craft Fair. This high quality, contemporary craft and design event takes place in the beautiful Corn Exchange in the heart of Brighton. The fair offers the public the opportunity to buy original and exceptional work from the best local and national designer/makers. Selling direct to the public means that both well established, as well as new talent, can build relationships with buyers, potential buyers, galleries and suppliers.

MADE11 has become firmly established as a friendly, accessible and top quality fair. In 2010, the fair attracted over 6,000 visitors who were delighted with the extensive range of work across all disciplines.

The 2011 fair will showcase over 100 highly original makers and designers. From colourful glassware to the softest knitted textiles, elegant ceramics to stunning jewellery and dazzling lighting to fine fashion, this is the perfect opportunity for visitors to view and buy unique pieces in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Work is priced between £20 and £1,500.

MADE11 is an ideal one-stop shop for unique and often quirky gift ideas leading up to Christmas. The majority of exhibitors provide an array of work catering for all budgets, and the tight selection process ensures best quality, unusual work which is bound to delight friends and family. With children’s toys, blankets and accessories, industrial and sharp styled lighting, beautiful jewellery and clothing plus exquisitely crafted leather goods, there really will be something for everyone.

The Private View takes place on Thursday 17 November, during the evening. Claire Gogerty, editor of Coast Magazine which sponsors the event, will officially open the fair, and Coast will be present all weekend with a special subscription stand in the foyer. Brighton based caterers Elizabeth Caton, will be on hand offering delicious canapés to guests, all made from locally sourced ingredients. The perfect accompaniment to a complimentary glass of wine! Admission to the Private View is by invitation, but a limited number of tickets are available at a cost of £10 each.

All weekend, a café provides a place for visitors to relax with a drink, a bite to eat and time to contemplate some purchases.
