They’ve been at it in more ways than one for some time now, but once again this Brighton six piece demonstrated that when it comes to the live stage they have few equals; their energetic modern-day ska based rhythms and beats also featured elements of gypsy, funk, polka, rock, punk, and dance, that easily gelled into one big party sound. From the plaintive trumpet beginnings of ‘Beer Panic’ to the as-one bouncy dance grooves of ‘Friends’, the band are tighter than the proverbial gnat’s chuff, their tongue-in-cheek tales of debauchery, life on the road and, ahem, love and friendship, are perfectly in tune with the packed and crazy crowd who can’t get enough of their hedonistic adventures and celebratory approach to life… If ever there was a band to put a smile on your face, and a spring in your step, this is the one…
