Remember in the 1980s a certain Comic Strip film satirising Hollywood’s hypothetical take on the miners’ action and featuring Jennifer Saunders playing Meryl Streep… playing?Margaret Thatcher? Not that the casting director of The Iron Lady saw that of course, but Hollywood’s interpretation of still a heatedly regarded period and leader in British history has a lot to be careful of.

Streep obviously stars at Mrs M Thatcher, with this biopic following through her times in office as a woman in a very masculine political landscape and at what cost her career was won, in terms of relationships and happiness. Also starring Jim Broadbent, Richard E. Grant, Olivia Colman and Anthony Head.
