Brighton and Hove fire crews collect £10k for charity
Firefighters have raised more than £10,000 for charity with their annual Christmas collection.
Crews from Preston Circus fire station raised £10,707 for the Firefighters Charity during the collection which was held on Wednesday 21 December and Thursday 22 December.
They were joined by crews from Hove fire station and other staff from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
They collected donations from drivers and pedestrians outside Preston Circus fire station.
Ben Bailey, the Firefighters Charity representative from Preston Circus, said: “It was a tremendous effort from everyone involved and thank you to everyone for all their help and enthusiasm.
“We are hoping to receive an extra £4,500 as a donation, which will bring the total to £15,207.”
