M83
The sold-out M83 show could be an early frontrunner for the end of year best gig lists. Buzzy-newcomers Porcelain Raft’s ‘dreamy pop’ vibes aptly set the scene for what was to come with their melodic, genre-hopping sounds.
M83’s set was nothing short of sensational. Words such as ‘vast’ ‘expansive’ ‘epic’ ‘euphoric’ are all suitable descriptions but don’t do it justice. Stadium-sized synths, thundering guitars, an army of Apple Macs and countless keyboards, topped with an impressively powerful and evocative vocal performance proved why the French act are worthy of all the critical appraisal they have amassed. It was both ambitious and a triumph.

Sums up the gig perfectly, mind-blown.
