Power Plate® classes at Revitalise in Hove have firmly been on our radar for a few years now. Since they were first introduced in the UK, Power Plate machines fascinated both gym fanatics and exercise-phobes. Start in a beginners class and your first Power Plate session at Revitalise is free! A 30 minute class means it’s convenient too. Wear loose comfortable clothing such as socks (no shoes); no shower and no hours spent slogging away at the gym. Just two or three 30 minute sessions a week will deliver noticeable results in the way you look and feel. The experienced instructors guide you through a class that is fun, motivating, challenging and offers great results.
Half the time, twice the results; how does that work? The science behind it is actually quite simple: Power Plate machines vibrate (intensity depends on the individual and class level: beginner, intermediate or advanced). When you are on the machines, the vibrations activate muscle contractions multiple times per second. So, if you do a set of 10 squats on the Power Plate machines (which is great for those aforementioned skiing sessions), it can be the same as doing 20! Muscle groups are activated simultaneously, resulting in accelerated muscle strength, tone, endurance and flexibility.
At Revitalise, Power Plate classes are limited to four people, so there is a high level of teacher interaction. Classes are available seven days a week both daytime and evening, delivering a full body workout out in just half an hour.
