Man remanded for sentencing for burglaries in Brighton and Hove

A man has been charged with burgling a house in Hove and remanded in custody.

Barrie Williamson, 48, of no fixed address, admitted breaking into the house in Hangleton Road, Hove, on Monday 19 September.

He also admitted burgling three other houses in Eastbourne, Seaford and Worthing.

He asked for 39 further offences from September until last month to be taken into consideration including three burglaries in Brighton, three in Hove and one in Shoreham.

He appeared at Eastbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday (30 January) and again today (Thursday 2 February).

Williamson was remanded in custody to appear for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday 17 April.
