Snow won’t stop Seedy Sunday in Hove, say organisers
The organisers of Seedy Sunday in Hove insist that the event will go ahead today whatever the weather.
The Seedy Sunday website said: “A little bit of snow doesn’t stop us swapping seed!”
The event is Britain’s biggest community seed swap as well as a campaign to protect biodiversity and protest against the increasing control of the seed supply by a handful of large companies.
The event is due to start at 10am today (Sunday 5 February) at Hove Town Hall in Norton Road and finish at 4.30pm.
Entry costs £2 with children admitted for free. The organisers said that there would be more than 50 stalls, a range of talks, demonstrations and children’s activities – and the community seed swap.
Anyone bringing seeds is asked to put them in labelled envelopes.
