The O Zone

Brides looking for a truly memorable wedding gown should head into Brighton’s quaint North Laine where they will find The O Zone, a quirky little boutique housing beautiful wedding dresses in a spectacular array of styles and sizes. The big focus this year is on vintage-inspired glamour, from Edwardian grandeur to flirty ‘50s tea dresses, handmade right here in good old Blighty.

Saturday 18 February sees The O Zone hosting the new 2012 collection, All That Jazz, from British designer Chanticleer. All Chanticleer dresses are made by chief designer Tracey Salt and her team in her Cheltenham workroom, and Tracey will be in-store on the day, helping brides find their perfect dress. By appointment only – book now on 01273 739500.

The O Zone’s dedicated team are always on the lookout for something new and a little different. A growing interest in less structured, fluid styles from the 1920s and ‘30s has led them to a tiny bridal label called Belle and Bunty – another UK-based company offering exquisitely cut gowns in the finest silks.

The rest of the bridal party are also well catered for at The O Zone, with over 100 dresses to choose from, suitable for bridesmaids, flowergirls and mother of the bride/groom. The groom has a choice of high quality menswear to hire or buy, with a wool/silk three-piece morning suit new for 2012.

Kasia Make-up

Bridal tips with KasiaMakeup.com

1. Perfect photo-ready skin:

Primers help powders and cream eyeshadows to last. Hydrating long-lasting foundation and concealer are vital. Smudge and waterproof mascara is your best friend on the wedding day preventing streak-free eyes.

2. The Glow Factor:

Choose natural shades, satiny shadows and sheer lips for a radiant glow and elegance. Luminous and feminine tones, ivory pearly shades and delicate blushes enhance natural beauty.

3. Classic chic:

Your wedding day is not the time to experiment with new, extreme looks. Be classic but stylish. Bright lips? Smokey eyes? Highlight one facial feature.
