Night At The Jazz Rooms

A short distance yet a million miles away from the horrors of West Street, Russ Dewberry’s legendary night has returned to save Brighton’s more discerning clubbers. The unpretentious, friendly crowd danced to the varied musical genres on offer, from latin jazz, through heavy funk to drum and bass, many of which were augmented by the fantastic live performances of reedman Lawrence Jones and congalero Dale Roberts. The tiny basement bar was full by midnight with every inch being danced on. If this first night was anything to go by this is going to be the best club in town.
