Photographer Diana Frangi captures the faces and places that define our city. This week: Matthew Gunn, of Gunn’s Florists in Brighton

“I started working here as a Saturday boy, it was my father’s business. My great grand mother was also a florist and she had her shop on East Street for 50 years, her son became a florist and then my father took over. I try to make the arrangements as natural as possible. Being a florist is like being a chef, it’s all about being creative. I like my work to be very spontaneous.”

Matthew Gunn has been a florist since 1992. Matthew is full of energy and ideas and is great at knowing what people want. From his shop in North Street he prepares breathtaking bouquets as well as superb arrangements for any occasion. Gunn’s is currently sponsoring Latest 7’s new competition Brighton’s Top 10 Mums.
