Brighton robbery suspects remanded in custody
Two people appeared before Brighton magistrates today (Friday 17 February) charged with a robbery that was committed in Moulsecoomb early yesterday morning.
The robbery victim was said to be a 22-year-old man who was walking home along Moulsecoomb Way.
It was alleged that he was threatened with a knife and robbed of his mobile phone after a car pulled up next to him.
Karla Payter, 20, of Stephens Road in Hollingdean, has been charged with robbery, having cannabis and aggravated taking a car without the owner’s consent.
Lee Wright, 18, of Moulsecoomb Way in Moulsecoomb, has been charged with robbery.
The pair appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court and were remanded in custody.
