This week: Amaze patron Annabel Giles and Amaze chief executive Rachel Travers

It’s important when you’re the parent of a child with special needs to be able to see the bright side of life, which is why Amaze’s ‘Big Cheer’ event is going to be a well-deserved night of up-beat entertainment. Amaze have kept me going when times are tough. That’s why I am so grateful to them.

TV presenter Annabel Giles (right), patron of children’s special needs charity Amaze, is pictured here with Amaze chief executive Rachel Travers, making the final preparations for The Big Cheer For Amaze 2012. The event takes place at Brighton Dome on Thursday 1 March and involves some of the biggest names in comedy including the irrepressible Jenny Eclair, Ian Moore, Justin Moorhouse, Simon Evans and Des Bishop. The laughter-filled evening will be compered by Jason Cook. Amaze is the local charity providing advice and support to parents of children with special needs and disabilities.
