Albion In The Community’s Dan?Lawson prepares to run Brighton Marathon eight times back to back
Dan Lawson is to run the Brighton Marathon eight times back to back in aid of the BHAFC’s charitable arm, Albion In The Community .
On Sunday 15 April, Dan will pound the streets of Brighton to raise money for AITC’s ground-breaking work in Asia: the OSCAR programme educates thousands of youngsters in youth leadership and conflict resolution in Mumbai and at the Football Club of Canocona in Goa, India.
In 2009, Dan completed the Konkan Coast Challenge; 380 miles in ten days from Mumbai down to Patnem Beach in Goa.
“I’m not really doing anything different in preparation for the eight marathons,” says Dan.
“I get up early most days and just absolutely love it. As soon as you tell yourself you’re going to run 200 miles you can do it. The power of the mind is incredibly strong. I believe my physique helps. I’m quite light on my feet when I run, as opposed to some people I run with who tend to pound the ground harder.”
