Wildlife cameraman, photographer and Arctic specialist Doug Allen was at The Old Market showcasing some of the images from his debut book ‘Freeze Frame’.

The man behind the lens of the BBC’s most popular documentaries, including ‘Planet Earth’, ‘Life’ and ‘Frozen Planet’, gave us a fascinating talk about his work and adventures.

He played clips from some of his most awe-inspiring footage while sharing anecdotes from his time on the Arctic and Antarctic.

The Scotsman charmed everyone with his warmth despite being able to live quite happily in the world’s harshest environments and provided an unusual, and unforgettable, evening.
