Stage: Norse Play
Mythology and mirth from John Hinton in his new play Ragnarok: The Weird Of The Gods
For those of you seeking the fun in the Festival and Fringe, an entirely new Brighton-based company might just have the answer. Theatre Of The Preposterous launch with a new play which they declare is ‘an epic tale of the hugest importance to us all’.
Ragnarok: The Weird Of The Gods is the story of the end of the world according to Norse mythology. It would seem that Norse mythology permeates our lives in a way that few of us realise, naming four of the days of our week, influencing Christianity and spawning both operas and comic strips.
Ragnarok: The Weird Of The Gods is a solo musical comedy written and performed by John Hinton whose last show, The Origin Of Species has been a massive international hit selling out wherever it has been performed. So one certainly not to miss if you like your Festival fun-filled.
Ragnarok: The Weird of the Gods Upstairs at Three and Ten, Sat 5–Sun 6 & Sat 26–Sun 27 May 3pm, £9/£5, 01273 917272 www.brightonfringe.org
