Candoco Dance Company

Playful, engagingly expressive and wonderful. These three pieces played with our ‘gaze’ – passing it around, softening and commanding it. The sonic landscape, choreography and lighting were all pitched just right to distort our visual and emotional experience of this strange and completely compelling performance. It took as its object ‘the body’, thoroughly and thought-provokingly exploring it to leave the audience awe-struck at the interval, shaking off our altered states of reverie to enter back into the mundanity of drink and ice-cream buying. Goose bumps and gasps a plenty!
