The Last Ever Terry Garoghan’s Brighton – The Musical
Terry Garoghan’s Brighton – The Musical is dead, long live Terry Garaghan’s Brighton – The Musical! Lauded as the last ever performance of this now annual institution from Brighton’s self appointed unofficial Mayor, this was musical geographic satire so fondly regarded it was like attending a much-loved final address from a comedy cult leader. Garoghan’s show took us on a tour of Brighton town and the surrounding areas, with the man himself singing out clearly delivered alternative lyrics to popular songs, covering everywhere from Patcham to Rottingdean to the Seven Dials – and with more than a gentle nod to our much-loved team the Brighton Seagulls. Delivered with his own choreography, this was fabulous charged fun – if a little too leary for a 60 something at times, but absolutely adored by the entire sold out Concert Hall crowd.
