Celebcity with Jo Brooks: Rizzle Kicks keep their ‘L’ plates

Olly Murs films new show in Brighton, Rizzle Kicks keep their ‘L’ plates, Seann Walsh & The Architects

Life on Murs
Beautiful Brighton and yummy Olly Murs will be taking to TV screens soon as Olly’s new TV show, Life On Murs comes to ITV2. The series sees Olly taking fans suggestions for what to do when he visits various cities around the country. When he stopped by in Brighton for his tour we caught him filming with his X Factor mate Dermot O’Leary
by the seaside and in Brighton’s Fishy Fishy restaurant; turns out this
is all part of the ITV2 show! Keep an eye out for the new series later
this month.

Rock meets architecture
Hardcore rock fans got a chance to meet their heroes, The Architects, last week when they signed tickets and CDs at HMV Churchill Square. The group then took to Concorde 2 in Madeira Drive to tear up the stage!

Seann Walsh on trend
Brighton comedian Seann Walsh is set to make a pilot for a series showcasing Twitter-based clips, sketches and stand-up for TV channel Comedy Central. The new show, called Trending Seann Walsh, could see our very own funnyman go global when trawling the Twitterspherre for all things weird and wonderful. Seann has already taken to our TV screens as the star of channel 4’s Stand Up Of The Week, BBC1s Live At The Apollo and Dave’s Argumental but this would mark his first solo show. We can’ wait to catch a glimpse.

I’ve got the key
Local author Simon Toyne released the latest book in his thrilling ‘Sanctus’ trilogy last week. The Key follows up from the debut book of the series – Sanctus – and follows the trials and tribulations of American journalist, Liv Adamsen, who has lost her memory. Promising to be as gripping as the fist best-selling title in the series it can surely only be a matter of time before we see TV adaptations or a Hollywood film! We’re already hooked in the office – so make sure you get your hands on a copy as soon as!

Rizzle Kicks’ travel plans
So they might be racing up the charts but it seems Rizzle Kicks won’t be burning rubber on our roads anytime soon. The pair have been offered additional help from a local after both failing their tests last week. Brighton born Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander have had the luxury of being offered free cars which we hardly feel is far when their debut album Stereo Typical has been flying off the shelves. The cheeky Brightonians have just released their new single ‘Traveller’s Chant’ on Sunday – but at the moment it doesn’t look like they’ll be travelling very far…
