Work due to start on Brighton skate park next month
The contract to build a new skate park in Brighton has been awarded to a specialist company called Bendcrete.
Some of the skaters who use Hollingdean Park met representatives from Bendcrete last week to go through final changes to the spray concrete design.
The company, which is based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, will start work on site on Wednesday 8 May and will liaise with the skaters throughout the building phase.
Work at the park in Lynchet Close is expected to take about six weeks.
Hollingdean News Online said that the official opening would take place at T in the Park on Sunday 1 July.
