Boy, 14, charged over death of Connor Saunders

A 14-year-old boy from Brighton has been charged with the manslaughter of Woodingdean teenager Connor Saunders.

The boy will be brought to court tomorrow (Wednesday 18 April) to appear before Brighton magistrates, Sussex Police said this afternoon.

Another 14-year-old boy has been released on police bail until Tuesday 8 May. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 13-year-old boy, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, was released yesterday on police bail until Tuesday 8 May.

Connor Saunders, a plasterer from Downsway, Woodingdean, died on Sunday (15 April) after being attacked the night before in West Street in Rottingdean.

Sussex Police urged anyone with information who had not yet spoken to police to call 101 or to contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
