Buddha swiped from garden in Hove
A Buddha and a 2ft pink flamingo are among a hoard of garden ornaments stolen in Hove over the past six weeks.
Ten thefts have been reported in Hangleton from Thursday 15 March to Friday 20 April, Sussex Police said.
The stolen items also include elephant and teddy bear ornaments on a gate, a pink pig, a concrete bird bath and a statue of a woman bending down.
PC Emma Gee said: “These ornaments have been stolen during the night and day in the same area.
“We suspect they have been stolen to sell at car boot sales and, as many of the items are heavy, the thieves are using a vehicle to transport them.
“We are advising residents who live in this area of Hove to try to secure any front garden ornaments they may have.”
Anyone with information or who has been offered any garden ornaments for sale is asked to contact Sussex Police by dialling 101.
