Clock Opera
It’s always odd when a band comes on stage and half of them look positively thrilled to be there whilst the other half look a bit bored. Yet despite their conflicting emotions support act Fiction did a good job of warming up the crowd with their Yeasayer/Modest Mouse hybrid.
Having only released their début album ‘Ways To Forget’ on Monday, indie-pop quartet Clock Opera were in a jubilant mood. Recent single ‘Man Made’ crashed round the room with its weighty, muscular guitar whilst ‘Fail Better’ was equally as euphoric and uplifting. Not the most ground-breaking music ever but well worth staying out on a Sunday night.
