Second man arrested over Brighton murder as victim’s father pays tribute
A 22-year-old Brighton man has become the second to be arrested on suspicion of murdering Jeffrey Burrows in his Norfolk Square flat on Sunday (29 April).
The latest suspect was arrested this afternoon (Wednesday 2 May), Sussex Police said, at an address in central Brighton.
He is being held in custody for interview and while detectives carry out further inquiries, the force said.
A 21-year-old man, who was arrested on Monday (30 April), was freed on police bail last night (Tuesday 1 May) until Tuesday 29 May.

Mr Burrows – known to friends as Jeff, Humphrey and Big Humph – died on Sunday after being stabbed at about 7.40pm. Paramedics spent more than an hour trying to save his life.
The victim’s father, David Burrows, paid tribute to his son from the family home in Dungannon in Northern Ireland. He said: “No words can describe our complete devastation and disbelief at the callous and cowardly murder of Jeff.
“Jeff was a devoted husband, cherished son, beloved brother and most loving uncle.
“Jeff was a very popular, very well liked and respected man.
“During his 17 years in Brighton Jeff made many dear friends.
“We are all numb in our grief and empty in our souls to know Jeff is no longer with us.”
Jeff Burrows was widowed earlier this year when his wife Brione died.
