Film: Dark Shadows (12A)

Director: Tim Burton

Johnny Depp whites up again for dear friend Tim Burton and gothic attire and humour heads straight to the top of the cinema charts.
Based on the hit US TV series from the 1960s, this tells the unfortunate tale of vampire Barnabas Collins over three centuries.

Cursed by spurned witch Angelique (Eva Green) in 1752 and entombed, he finds the world – and his family – much changed when he is finally released into the present day world. Some things are pretty constant though, as the monsters and werewolves come after his descendents with full vigour, making his offer of protection really rather timely.

Already grabbing huge amounts of attention and anticipation of this well worked successful dynamic. Also starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Grace Moretz and Helena Bonham Carter.

Released Fri 11 May
Showing at Odeon and Cineworld
