15% of The Seagull
15% of The Seagull tells the story of one serious actor and another less committed amateur, deserted by the rest of the theatre company, in their attempts to stage (15% of) the seminal work by one of Russia’s greatest dramatists – ‘The Seagull’ by Anton Chekhov.
In an almost faultless production, Liberty Martin and Cheryl Mayer, like a new French & Saunders, bounced off each other wonderfully and brought this brilliantly acted and cleverly written story to life. The show seems to finish halfway through the plot, which is a shame as I could easily have watched another hour. A show worthy of more praise. Absolutely fabulous darling!
