This week: musicians Nick Pynn & Kate Daisy Grant
“Working with Kate is a great opportunity to move from the one man looping approach, making certain ‘unloopable’ pieces of mine possible to play live. It’s going to be an expanding gig, starting with my solo performance, later joined by Kate and other guests. In the second half we will move across to Kate’s songs and will be joined by Hannah Marshall on cello and singing saw, and Ken Rose on percussion and acoustic guitar.”
Nick Pynn with Kate Daisy Grant, preparing for the Brighton Fringe Festival. Multi-instrumental virtuoso Nick has performed with Steve Harley, Arthur Brown, The Lost and Found Orchestra, B*Witched, and comedians Stewart Lee, Rich Hall, Boothby Graffoe and Omid Djalili. He brings an exciting gig to the Brighton Fringe, playing his unique ‘avant folk’ on self-made instruments. He is joined by toy-folk-pop singer-songwriter Kate, who will be adding her beautiful songs to the show. The pair will be performing at the Old Market on Tuesday 15 May.
