The City Will Crumble
Although posted as a comment on the isolating nature of city life and the effect of the current economic situation on the populous, The City Will Crumble is strongest dealing with the personal rather than the socioeconomic. One scene in particular between the blogger protagonist Leda (Mariana Targano) and a policeman (Diego Poupin) is brutal but nuanced and layered, choreographed and performed to perfection. Indeed the dance and original music is strong throughout. However some of the multimedia elements err to the obvious and the production can’t quite muster the scale to deliver on its ambitious premise.
