Brighton murder case detectives arrest third suspect

A third man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Jeff Burrows in Norfolk Square, Brighton.

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested in Liverpool yesterday (Saturday 19 May) and brought to Brighton for questioning last night.

Detectives have already charged Joel Elliott, 22, of North Road, Brighton, on Thursday 3 May with the murder of Mr Burrows.

He was found stabbed at his flat in Norfolk Square on the evening of Sunday 29 April. Paramedics spent more than an hour trying to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man was arrested by Sussex Police on Monday 30 April on suspicion of murder and was released on bail until Tuesday 29 May pending further inquiries.
