Meditation Ruined My Life

Billed as a ‘One man show about how comedian Sam Brady trained to be a Buddhist monk – and failed miserably’, the audience were expecting gentle, wise humor with Buddhist references. What they got was an immature and sexist stand up routine. Example joke – ‘I flirted with the yoga students… when you haven’t had sex for four years, if you take a middle aged woman and pour her into lycra tights, she begins to look like Kiera Knightly’. Most of the audience voted with their feet and after the truly appalling conclusion to the show I felt vaguely sullied.
