Film: Men in Black (3D)

Director: Barry Sonnenfeld

We’ve all gotten used to the idea of the world being in constant peril and saved in the nick of time by those fantastic chaps the Men In Black. Especially when star Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) is around to deadpan with aliens and knock Agent J (Will Smith) upside the head as the snotty-nosed kid in alien control he truly is, in the big scheme of things anyway.

So if someone assassinated K it would be bad. And if someone assassinated K – oooh, we don’t know – say, 50 years ago, that would be a really bad thing. Undoing all of the good work and bad alien lockdowns he’s ever done. Whoops! Someone evil’s got some kind of evil time-travel assassination idea.

With Josh Brolin as the uncanny younger version of Agent K, way back in the swinging happening 1960s, teaming up with the modern day Agent J sent back in time, the pair must get to the bottom of this dastardly time-travel plot. Involving little guns, big aliens and some great effects.

Released Fri 25 May
Showing at Odeon and Cineworld
