The Last Tuesday Society: Crowley Cinematography
It should have been so interesting. Blondie member Gary Lachman talking about Aleister “wickedest man on Earth” Crowley’s influence on cinema and the portrayal of Satanism on the silver screen. Tragically he took a fascinating topic and extracted all the intriguing anecdotes and left us with a litany of dry facts, dates, names and numbers. Coupled with a laughably unprofessional amount of technical snafus the whole affair was a masterclass in tedium. The most we got out of it was a list of classic films to watch such as ‘Night Of The Demon’ and ‘The Devil Rides Out’. “The Great Beast” would’ve been turning in his grave.
