Faber Poets

Sold out, the Pavilion Theatre hosted four of Faber’s finest poets led by The Guardian’s Sarah Crown. Taking turns to read from their latest works – award-winners Jo Shapcott, Don Paterson, Lavinia Greenlaw and Daljit Nagra took to the lectern. Brimming with good humour, thought-provoking recitals and accompanying stories; the audience got a brief insight into the poets’ minds and working lives. Although engaging, the evening was brought down by banal, nonsensical questions from members of the audience. A rare treat to see some of the UK’s best, together in one room.
