‘You want this?’ The question peppered this UK premiere, a funny, deliberately frustrating and often fascinating absurdist riff on commerce, free trade and what place they leave for human feeling. Mischievous double act Argentine Laura Kalauz and Swiss Martin Schick began by giving away a car boot’s worth of goods while wearing only their underwear, asked audience members to donate their clothes in return, and auctioned off the performance rights of the production itself (for £51). Finally, and with real bravery, they jacked the tightness, the charisma and, apparently, the script and started stealing our time. Several audience members walked out. Did they asked for their money back?
