An Evening Of Burlesque
Modern day burlesque has fallen into two forms; women getting their kit off confusing themselves into thinking it’s an offshoot of pole-dancing or an imaginative art form glorifying the female form in a sultry and seductive manner. Luckily A.E.O.B. falls majestically and emphatically into the latter. The girls were gorgeous and alluring, each providing a dance with intelligence, humour and a specific narrative; whether it was the stranded plane crash survivor, the desperate bride wanna-be or the classical pianist. However each had a foot firmly in the traditions of burlseque. Intoxicating nipple tassles, sexy high heels, devilish corsets… I loved it!
