How To Read Minds & Influence People – Doug Segal

Doug Segal is a showman who manages that tricky balance of setting us at ease immediately and impressing the socks off us. Structuring the show with the mind-reading trick and reveal tempo clocking on at quite a pace, Segal mixed it up enlisting audience members as assistants on an individual basis and collaborators en masse as he gave us glimpses behind the figurative curtain as to how he was achieving these mind-bending feats. Fostering a community feel by the end as we were handed out one of the tricks we’d just seen performed to show off to friends at home, sometimes it’s easy to forget quite how impressive what Segal does is among the bon hommie. He read my mind and I shall be watching this space with great interest in his future.
