Pappy’s

It’s a measure of Pappys’ talent that a preview show that was this shambolic can still be entertaining. From reading some scenes off scripts, to smashing a pint glass on stage and soaking lights in water, to over-running by 20 minutes, it seemed like the whole show was on the verge of catastrophe at every turn. However, gems of comedy gold were buried throughout the muddy path, and it’s clear that the group are crafting a challenging, refreshing and even (at times) touching new show. These guys thrive on disorder and chaos, and the litany of mishaps didn’t dent my enjoyment one bit.
