The Brighton boy’s homecoming gig was a memorable one. Mike’s honest lyrics are a refreshing commentary on love, hate and the absurdity of money-making talent shows. ‘Let Her Go’ was the perfect example of his skillful writing, leaving the audience speechless. His delicately fragile vocals translated these lyrics flawlessly which was aided by his comfortable presence and sparkling personality on stage. Special moments came easily when Mike spontaneously unplugged his guitar and joined the audience on the floor of Brighton’s Ballroom, this made for a memorable gig. Passenger is the perfect complement to 2012s May heat wave.
