Film: Snow White and the Huntsman (12A)
Director: Rupert Sanders
Right, so you know the story. There’s this pretty young girl called Snow White who has a bit of a bad turn when her dad gets married to the wrong lady. He must be blinded by a lovely face, only excuse. Anyway, this new mama (Charlize Theron) on the block has her nose put out of joint by all the attention her unwanted stepchild gets and plots to do away with her, sending poor Whitey (Twilight’s Kristen Stewart) away with a huntsman hot on her tail (Thor, aka Chris Hemsworth) to do her in good and proper.
What she doesn’t bank on though is quite how feisty the fair maiden might turn out to be, and that huntsman hotty deciding to change allegiance, leaving him in cahoots with the Bolshie younger babe. How much is that going to vex her?
Suffice to say, lots of girl power, fighting, lovely looking acting and a top flight supporting cast including Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Sam Claflin, Toby Jones, Nick Frost, Lily Cole, Eddie Marsan and Bob Hoskins.
