The Doors Alive

From the moment ‘Jim’ arrived onstage to the moment the first piece of ladies’ underwear flew his way, disbelief was well and truly suspended. The Doors Alive look and sound the part, professional to a T, but Jim remains aloof, the only band member un-named: ‘I’m just Jim’. It becomes him. At first standing impassive, then prowling the stage like some kind of panther, then finally unleashing the original’s rather idiosyncratic dancing, he doesn’t so much imitate as inhabit his character, warts and all. And the voice? Remarkable. The End.
