Portslade teenager robbed as she cycled to work

Two men pushed a 19-year-old Portslade woman off her bike and robbed her as she made her way to work yesterday morning (Thursday 21 June).
She was attacked as she cycled past St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Vale Park, Portslade, at 8.30am yesterday.
Two men, who were described as white and in their late teens, knocked her off her bike and stole a small amount of money from her bag.
The teenager was left bruised, grazed and badly shaken although she did not need hospital treatment.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Elliott said: “This was a distressing experience for the young woman and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Thursday morning and saw anything of what happened or who thinks they may know who this pair are.”
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
