Brighton Consort – ByrdFest
St Paul’s Church came alive as the Brighton Consort enchanted everyone with their choral classical concert dedicated to the genius of William Byrd. Katie Thomas lead the choir and the audience on a journey into the religious tone of each piece with grace, sensitivity and sheer beauty.
The only thing was that in the final piece of the great mass, there were too many pauses between each movement so it was unclear as to whether they were continuing or not. However this did not distract from the beautiful setting and atmosphere created.
