Light Bites: Horses for courses

Ten Green Bottles, one of my favourite haunts, have devised a range of special tastings, classes and events that provide an expert insight into the intimidating world of wine.

You can now join owners and wine aficionados Sam Devaney and Simon Broad for an array of tastings that will be sure to turn enthusiastic amateurs into virtuosos of the vino variety.

Perfect for team-building events, parties and sophisticated hen nights, you can choose from a variety of fun yet informative events that help distinguish your Cabernets from your Chardonnays and your Syrahs from your Sauvignon Blancs.

Introduction to Wine Tasting
Novices will welcome the introductory wine tasting classes. Cutting through the jargon, this relaxed event allows you to learn a little and drink a lot. You’ll get to grips with different grape varieties, regions, makers and production techniques.

Wine Challenge
Call on your competitive side and put your taste buds to the test with the Ten Green Bottles ‘Wine Challenge’. Teams of discerning drinkers can lock-horns in a blind taste off as they attempt to identify the subtle flavour profiles of three white and three red wines, showing off what they know. Particularly appropriate for inter-department events and challenging work colleagues.
The Introduction to Wine Tasting and Wine Challenge cost £25 per person and include complimentary bar bites and a glass of fizz .
