Brighton property firm helps police look into toddler’s death
A Brighton property business said that it was helping police as they investigate the death of a two-year-old girl.
Allsop Residential Investment Management (ARIM), of Prince’s House in Queen’s Road, Brighton, manages the block where the toddler fell to her death from the fourth-floor balcony.
Rayaheen Banimuslim died after she fell 60ft from the glass-panelled balcony where vandals had kicked out a panel.
The Sun newspaper reported that residents in the block had said that the management company was slow to carry out repairs to the block – the ten-storey North Bank apartments in Sheffield.
It quoted a maintenance worker saying that the panels were intact on Monday when he cut the grass at the apartments.
And it quoted Hazel Sharp, of ARIM, describing it as a “tragic and unfortunate incident”, adding: “We are helping police with their investigations.”
