Bent Double

Bent Double gave an hysterical ending to the last ever performance at the upstairs venue in Komedia, due to be taken over by the Duke of York cinema. Working-class lass Tiffany Stevenson gave cutting-criticisms of middle class habits whilst Australian headliner Hannah Gadsby had a more skittish, self deprecating persona – both of which went down well with the crowd. Zoe Lyons, as ever, charmed and ridiculed the crowd in equal measures but it was stand-in Amelia Jane Hunter that stole the show. Probably to be seen next in a government anti-drinking campaign, Hunter was both raw, outrageous, completely unapologetic and enthralling to watch. If only I could take her down the pub with me every Sunday!
