Episode 40: Fatboy Slim, Lynn Ruth Miller, Alabama 3, Meadowlands Festival.

In Brighton Lights 40 we show you why Brighton is the party capital of the UK starting with the almighty rave that was Fatboy Slim’s show at The Amex Stadium. Ange Watson talks to the man and Val Aviv’s film captures the magic of the day. Lynn Ruth Miller, star of Britain’s Got Talent, at the age of 79 is cutting a single and we are in Church Road Studios as she laughs her way through the track. Anybody want to buy a lady? A drink!
Then we’re at The Hanging Gardens as Plum Woodard meets and dances to Alabama 3, Ska Cubano and Kitten and The Hip. Off to Meadowlands Festival at Glynde where our Cathy Sear meets fab bands, poetry and witnesses the unique Meadowlands’ shenanigans. Sunshine too!
Finally, back in the house as Val Aviv says, feast your saucy eyes on Girls with The Elektrosexuals. Brighton was party town, now it’s music city.
