Foil, Arms and Hog

Although billed as a preview, this three man sketch troupe impressed with inventive writing, committed performances and bags of charm. While their programme blurb makes much of the group’s Irishness (‘potato, potato, potato, pot of gold, potato. You racist.’), the actual content takes on far more bizarre, occasionally unsettling subjects i.e. people with chairs for faces or supermarkets with a quota of evil employees. Some sketches were a bit on the long side with a noticeable lull but they generally had strong finishes; perhaps a symptom of the preview. This is a minor quibble for a very strong show indeed.
