Pine Hill Haints

Opener Serious Sam Barrett augmented his folk blues set with fellow support act, and Texan legend, Tim Kerr on harmonica and headliner Jamie on fiddle. This ensemble set-up continued when Alabama’s Haints invited Tim and other friends to join them throughout their set of punked-up Americana. ‘Cool Clear Water’ was one of a number of Gene Vincent style rockabilly numbers while washtub bass player Matt was a wolverine lounge lizard on ‘Walkin’ Talkin’ Dead Man’. Old gospel numbers sat comfortably with Tex-Mex death songs and everyone, including the merch minders, congregated in the crowd for a rousing acoustic finale.
