Lagoon Watersports
With sports firmly on our minds this summer and sailing one of the most popular sports in the Games, we are privileged to have Lagoon Watersports on our doorstep. Their thriving water sports centre at Brighton Marina is the perfect gateway to the water and a fantastic place to learn to dinghy or yacht sail.

A variety of courses are available throughout the year for sailors of all levels, ages and abilities, from RYA practical sailing courses through to shore based theory courses and packages like ‘Zero to Dayskipper’.

There is also a very popular Sunset Cruise which takes place on a Beneteau First yacht with a qualified RYA sailing instructor on board. It’s up to you if you want to get actively involved in the sailing, learn to manoeuvre and pick up some tips or if you just want to sit back, take in the views, enjoy a relaxing sail and watch the sun go down with a glass of sparkling in your hand and the wind in your hair!

Sailing is a very unique, diverse sport opening up destinations and opportunities, and there truly is something for everyone at Lagoon Watersports. For further details and to book please give them a call.

Brighton Sports Co
You might not be a Cavendish or Wiggins when it comes to riding a bike but if your cycling is about comfort and style then the Brighton Sports Company has a bike for you. They hire California style beach cruisers plus children’s bikes and add-ons right on the seafront cycle path to make it the perfect get out and do for the whole family. With summer finally on the way, a ride with family or friends exploring the seafront bike path between Hove and Rottingdean is the perfect way to burn off those calories gained while watching amazing Olympic feats on the television.

If you’re feeling really adventurous try the Wild Hog tandem, a blaze of yellow that you’re sure to have loads of fun on and definitely get yourself seen. Come and see them on Madeira Drive; open every day it’s not raining, 10am–6pm.
