Events: Brighton Skate Party 2012

Get your skates on and roll up to Brighton’s favourite seafront skate event this summer

Skatefresh Brighton is having a 13th birthday party, and everyone is invited. The summer skate season is rolling along nicely and Skatefresh is planning one of the season’s favourite outdoor events. Members of the skating club, which is based in both London and Brighton, will gather to catch up, lunch and demonstrate skills. The party is open to anyone and everyone who enjoys the company of other skaters.

The fun kicks off from 1pm on Brighton’s magnificent seafront at Hove Lawns, in front of Hove Café. This will be the perfect chance to meet other fellow skaters before embarking on a street skate from 4pm along the seafront. BrightonSkate crew will be there and enjoying the action too.

After the street skate, when the sun begins to go down, skaters are to head back to the West Pier for a roller disco, where SkateDance will share even more of their skills.

No matter what level, whether you’re on quads or in-lines, and no matter if you’re fairly new to moving on four wheels or if you go to sleep with them on your feet – the event is for all abilities. The day is a great chance to learn from one another, celebrate the vibrant skate scene, and to try and master some new moves. Bring your own food and drink and Skatefresh will provide the music.

Outside Hove Café, Hove Lawns, Sat 11 August, 1pm, free
